THE HISTORY OF DISTRICT 4370

This District covers what we refer to as

"South America" as well as "Central America and the Caribbean"

Prepared by the district and not verified by Rotary Global History

District 4370 comprises all clubs in Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao of the Netherlands Antilles; which in turn is a part of The Kingdom of the Netherlands.

District 4370 is also one of two district numbers allocated to Venezuela.

The online encyclopedia, "Wikipedia" refers to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao as the "ABC Islands" which form the Leeward Antilles which are the southern section of the Lesser Antilles in the southern Caribbean Sea.

The eastern half of Venezuela shares this district number with these three small island groups.

The remaining half of Venezuela is referred as District 4380.

Separate histories are provided for the Netherlands Antilles and Curacao here and for Venezuela here.
